Momofuku Ando, 96; inventor's Cup Noodle RIP

Ramen_noodle1_1 "How I Invented Magic Noodles," Ando's eureka moment occurred in 1957, when he noticed a long line of customers waiting for service outside a noodle shop. He asked himself if there was not a faster way to serve all those busy-but-famished construction workers and salarymen who were working late shifts and overtime hours to rebuild Japan after the war.

A year later, he introduced what was first called "Chiken Ramen."

Questions like.....

Where in LA can I find a cripy chile relleno?? Places I have been:

1. El Coyote (sick)
2. Merix
3. Gardens of Taxco
4. Mexican place at the Farmers Market

I've been in LA for about 2 years and I havent found a mexican restaurant I love. 2,3, and 4 above are all very good, but they dont have a crispy relleno!

the Authentic Cafe on Beverly used to serve a very crispy chile relleno (it was coated in blue corn meal as opposed to a thick egg batter.)

Tere's on Melrose?  Ask for the sauce on the side.
