Look ma! No Flash!

This Solitaire site is an amazing testament to how far simple Javascript has come in web development.  Previously, a page with this level of interaction and intelligence was only possible with Flash.  Now it's just the latest in rich web applications.

If you want to fairly easily start adding this rich interaction to your pages, check out the Moo tools Javascript library.  It's light and powerful:

70's Style: The Longest "Running" Joke

Picture_2
The good news: Nike has re-released their classic running shoe designs from the 70's. The bad news: they're only available in the faux-aged, pre-worn variety. The Nike Vintage site is amusing though.

EAGLE vs. SHARK

Picture1_2
The attention to flash animation detail on the new EAGLE vs. SHARK movie site is really exceptional. The content is pretty kick-ass too: like the Kick-Ass Collage, and the Killer Soundboard. I get the feeling this film is the Kiwi equivalent of Napoleon Dynamite. If EAGLE vs. SHARK is half as entertaining as it's site then we're in for a nerd-loving chucklefest.

Prickles and Goo

Pricklesngoo

Under the name FurryCarlos Productions,Trey Parker and Matt Stone (South Park) have brought to life the teachings of philosopher Alan Watts in 3 short animations. My favorite is Prickles and Goo but the other two shorts have their merits as well.
